About the Book
Writing Non-Dieting was a labor of love. I wanted to share what I wish someone had told me when I began to mistrust my body and started dieting as a twelve-year-old. The diet that was supposed to transform my body in ten weeks became a decade-long obsession. As so many dieters have experienced, my weight-loss efforts didn't reshape my body into the form I idealized, make me healthier, more confident, or happy. Instead, dieting distorted my body image, so I could no longer see myself as I was. And it locked me into disordered eating patterns. It wasn't until I finally broke free of the stressful dieting lifestyle that my eating patterns normalized, and I could reclaim body-confidence and health. My book offers you a true path to health, a positive body image, and a normal relationship with food. It's the path I found, and that has been traveled by many of my brave clients.
