Weight Anxiety Can Distort Your Body Image



If you grew up in an environment that made you feel ashamed or anxious about your body, it probably effected your body image and may have distorted your perception of it.


Being made to feel anxious about your body causes you to perceive your body as you fear it is, instead of how it really is. And it can cause to you overestimate how important your weight is to your worth and success while underestimating your strengths.


Body image distortion is real and so common in diet culture.
