Weight-Increasing Effects of Dieting

People, we need a reframe!

The diet industry taught us that by restricting food, we can lose weight. But research shows that, for the majority, restrictive dieting causes weight gain. When we restrict food and nutrition our bodies don't shed pounds in the long term. Instead, they react to food restriction by inflating hunger and slowing metabolism, and doing what they can to protect us from the threat of malnutrition. And this leads to weight gain over time even if we lost weight at the beginning of the diet.

It's time to stop the gaslighting the diet industry profits from. And start nourishing our bodies with the nutrients they need to thrive and accepting our natural bodies as they are.
